Spring Hill Little League was formed in 1988 and held their first games at the old Lions Club fields which are now Pete Boyd Park.
It started out as Maury County Little League. Later, due to population growth, the league split from what is now Columbia American and Columbia National.
Through the efforts of the city of Spring Hill, the Maury County School Board, and a few volunteers, we started play at Spring Hill Little League Park in the spring of 2002.
Little League International History
Little League Baseball was form in 1938 in Williamsport, PA. It was started as a wholesome youth baseball program to teach children sportsmanship, fairplay, and teamwork.
From these humble beginnings, Little League has become the worlds largest organized youth sports program. Since 1938, Little League has grown from 3 teams to nearly 200,000 teams in all 50 states and more than 100 countries.
Over the years, many others have tried to form similar baseball leagues, but there is only one Little League.
